Configure Hot Player and Hot IPTV apps with M3U playlist URLs or single stream links copied from FreeIPTV.

What is Hot Player / Hot IPTV?

Hot Player (sometimes written “Hot IPTV”) is an IPTV stream player for Android phones, tablets, and TV boxes. Like other IPTV apps, it plays live streams listed in an M3U playlist—you provide the URL, and Hot Player builds the channel guide.

Hot Player does not include built-in channels. Copy an M3U link from FreeIPTV or browse categories to find streams first.

Install Hot Player

  1. Open Google Play (or your device app store) on Android.
  2. Search for Hot Player or Hot IPTV.
  3. Install the app published for IPTV/M3U playback (check reviews and permissions).

App names vary by region. If you cannot find Hot Player, try IPTV Smarters Pro or IPTV Extreme—all accept the same FreeIPTV M3U URL.

Add FreeIPTV M3U playlist

  1. Copy the M3U SOURCE URL from the FreeIPTV home page.
  2. Open Hot Player → Add Playlist or M3U URL.
  3. Paste the URL and name the list (e.g. “FreeIPTV”).
  4. Confirm and wait for channels to import.
  5. Open the live TV section to watch.

On slower devices, import a smaller playlist from a category page M3U banner instead of the full global index.

Watch a single channel

To test one stream before loading thousands of channels:

  1. Find a channel on FreeIPTV and copy its stream URL.
  2. In Hot Player, look for Open URL or paste into a single-stream field if available.
  3. Alternatively, use VLC for a quick test.

Hot Player tips

  • Use Ethernet or strong Wi‑Fi for HD sports streams.
  • Enable hardware decoding in player settings if video stutters.
  • Star favorites inside Hot Player, or use FreeIPTV’s ☆ button to track channels in your browser.
  • Re-import the M3U URL after FreeIPTV’s daily data refresh if many links fail.
