Smart IPTV & Smartone IPTV Setup Guide
How to add M3U channel lists to Smart IPTV (Samsung/LG) and Smartone IPTV apps using playlist URLs from FreeIPTV.

Smart IPTV vs Smartone IPTV
Smart IPTV (often called “Smart IPTV” or “SmartIPTV”) is a paid app commonly used on Samsung and LG Smart TVs. Smartone IPTV is a related client found on some TV platforms and Android devices. Both expect an M3U playlist URL—you add the link once, and the app loads your channel list on the TV.
Neither app ships with channels. Use the M3U SOURCE URL from FreeIPTV or a category-specific playlist from our directory.
Before you start (Smart IPTV on Samsung/LG)
- Install Smart IPTV from your TV app store if available in your region.
- Launch the app and note your MAC address or device ID shown on screen.
- On a phone or computer, open the Smart IPTV portal (URL shown in the app—typically ssiptv.com).
- Enter your MAC address and submit your M3U playlist URL from FreeIPTV.
- Restart Smart IPTV on the TV and wait for channels to appear.
Smart IPTV may offer a short free trial, then require a one-time activation fee. Check the app screen for current pricing—FreeIPTV only provides the playlist URL, not the app license.
Smartone IPTV setup (general flow)
Smartone IPTV interfaces differ by device, but the pattern matches other M3U players:
- Open Smartone IPTV.
- Go to Settings or Playlists.
- Add a new playlist and paste your FreeIPTV M3U URL.
- Save and reload the channel list.
If your TV struggles with the global playlist size, use a smaller M3U from a language page (for example English or Spanish lists).
Choosing the right playlist URL
Troubleshooting on Smart TV
- Playlist not updating: Re-submit the URL on the Smart IPTV portal and reboot the TV app.
- Channels missing: TV memory limits may truncate huge lists—switch to a category playlist.
- Playback errors: Streams change often; revisit FreeIPTV after the daily refresh.
Alternatives if Smart IPTV is unavailable
Not every region carries Smart IPTV. Consider IPTV Smarters Pro on Fire TV, Hot Player on Android, or other IPTV apps from our comparison guide.
